Is there any news/updates about the IFS? The status was:

For now it is not possible to create a new folder or edit files. Only delete and see permisions.
We are on 7.4, PTF group SF99741, PTFSI82487

    Dear Erik

I stumbled upon a web page for IBM Navigator for i - PTF Update Details at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6520030, and the latest set of PTFs for 4Q 2022 delivered the following set of IFS support which does not yet address your desire.  You may want to visit this web page again every quarter end  for update of the PTFs.

    Thank you Satid.
I have seen the roadmap. But this one was very helpful.

    Hi

In addition to the fix comming 16th oct.  for Navigator, it also uses the new Java 17 from Q2 2023 PTF:

But exactly what is does or where it is used i'm not sure.

    Do you know?

I'm missing  "create folder in the intgrated filesystem.

In the documentation in the IBM web it is described:

Do you know anything about that?

    Dear Erik

When it comes to working with IFS, I use IBM i ACS - IFS interface as I cannot find IFS interface in the new Navigator for i ( I have not applied more recent PTFs for it yet).

    Couple of clarifications.

Java 17 and Java 11 - With the updated PTFs, the Navigator interface WILL use the new versions of Java IF they are available, but do NOT yet require the newer versions. There are customers that do not want to be running on Java 8 and with the newer Navigator PTFs, the interface upon startup will look for the newest level and start with that.

IFS.  Yes. the IFS support is in Navigator, it's been there for about 6 months or so.  Is it complete... no.  The Create folder action, that is one of the actions that has not yet been delivered.  Hoping to get that in soon.  The IFS interface in Navigator is a full tree based solution with pretty nice filtering capabilities At this point, yes the ACS IFS support does have more features.  Stay tuned.. Navigator is constantly improving...

    Dear Erik

Based on Mr.Tim's information above, looks like you would need to use IFS task from IBM i ACS for some more time.
