    Hi Team,

I am new to the thread, Hope everything is going well for all of you!

I am trying to export all the documents and meta-data of one object store, and documents of one document class from another object store from filenet on cloud (version 5.5.7).  Initially we tried to use migration tool to get the data from filenet and migrate it to Alfresco but that turned out to be a failed attempt. Now to accomplish this task, I am planning to set up a CEWS non-application server-based java application. I am used to uploading documents to filenet using bulkloader applications, but this is my first time exporting documents from filenet. Would like to understand what will be the best solution. If you think non-application server based CEWS will be best option, please add in info on how to export documents and meta-data using CEWS.

This being my first migration, Please add in any inputs as necessary.

Thank you a bunch in advance!

IBM Expert Labs does offer a (billable) Asset called UpdateManagerCE which also allows the export of documents and document metadata to a file system. More details can be found here: https://www.ibm.com/products/filenet-updatemanagerce

    Hi,

    Thank you for the information.

I did set up a non-application server based Java CEWS application on machine to connect to FileNet on cloud, wanted to understand if we can export documents and meta-data from FileNet on Cloud using the methods available.

    Thank you!

For import you may use https://www.ibm.com/products/ibm-filenet-batchit
IBM FileNet BacthIt instead of the standard bulk import. IBM FileNet BatchIt has a much better performance using the CEWS in C and runs on windows or Unix.
the Stande bulkimport is using java  CE API /SDK and needs the CE API client on your import environment.

    good luck
