Introduction
IBM Datacap is an advanced capture system that makes it easier for organizations to manage incoming physical or electronic documents, to extract insight
for analytics, to expedite caseloads, file patient claims or other processes. Datacap data extraction technology automates the conversion of forms
based and unstructured documents — email files, PDFs, Microsoft Word and Excel and zipped files — into actionable insight in seconds. It eliminates
physical handling and accelerates the dissemination of information throughout an organization. With Datacap, Datacap Insight Edition, and Business
Automation Content Analyzer, IBM Digital Business Automation provides a comprehensive portfolio of production-level document capture and highspeed
data extraction capabilities to help companies reduce their paper consumption and automates the capture, recognition, and classification of business
documents.
Objective
At the end of these Proof of Technology hands-on lab exercises you should have a firm understanding of the day in the life of an operator of Datacap and
how to build capture applications. These labs will provide hands-on experience with general purpose design tools that can be used to design and configure
a Datacap Application. A deeper technical overview of the toolset and the ability to create and configure custom applications is also available in these
labs. Deep technical topics include FastDoc Admin, Datacap Studio, rule creation, self-learning applications, email integration, Datacap Insight Edition,
Content Analyzer, office document capture and the Datacap web services interface.
Audience
This event has limited seating and requires pre-registration and confirmation. The labs are intended for business users and capture operators as well as IT
professionals.
