  • 1.  Upgrade BAW Standard 20.0.0.2 to 23.x

    I am looking at upgrading BAW 20.0.0.2 Standard to latest version.   Is there a Standard 23.x version or is there some kind of migration of version needed?

    Hi Bruce, There is no direct upgrade from BAW 20 to BAW 23. You need to upgrade BAW 20 to BAW 21 or BAW 22 then upgrade BAW 21/BAW 22 to BAW 23.

    In BAW 23 documentation (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/baw/23.x?topic=workflow-upgrading-business-automation-23x) I read:

    "Follow the instructions for your specific configuration to install the upgrade to 23.0.1 or 23.0.2.
    You can upgrade the following products:
    • IBM® Business Automation Workflow Enterprise or IBM Business Automation Workflow Express 18.0.x, 19.0.x, 20.0.0.1, 20.0.0.2, 21.0.x, or 22.0.x to IBM Business Automation Workflow Enterprise or IBM Business Automation Workflow Express 23.0.1.
    • IBM Business Automation Workflow Enterprise or IBM Business Automation Workflow Express 19.0.0.3, 20.0.0.1, 20.0.0.2, 21.0.x, 22.0.x, or 23.0.1 to 23.0.2.
    Restrictions:
    • Upgrading from IBM Business Automation Workflow Enterprise or IBM Business Automation Workflow Express 18.0.x, 19.0.0.1, or 19.0.0.2 to 23.0.2 is not supported. Upgrade to 23.0.1, then upgrade to 23.0.2."

    This makes me think that I can do a direct upgrade. Is there something I did not understand correctly? I am very interested in this because I'm going to upgrade an environment in a few weeks from now.
