After running through the normal process for upgrading the software, it is currently stuck trying to update the database schema. After opening the software in a browser window and clicking "Update Schema", the button text changes to "Updating ..." before showing an error message:
"Database error. A user's default schema must be set to 'dbo'. Currently, it is set to guest. Before you can use the database, change its default schema."
I have installed and previously updated the software without error or needing to change a users' default schema. I have rechecked the default schema of the user in question and can see it is being reported as 'dbo'.
To assist in determining what the error might be:
- Please provide information on where database credentials for the tool are stored to check if the upgrade process has somehow been altered from the previously working settings before the software upgrade.
- Please provide the file system location of any logs file that may assist me in determine what action the software is performing resulting in the previously working software no longer.
Again, previous versions of the software were installed and upgraded successfully without issue. I can uninstall the software, and I have a backup of the database. But if the issue is repeated it will prevent future upgrades of the software.
