It’s been three years since the last live and in-person Executive Forum for Automation Business Partners, so there was genuine enthusiasm and warm reunions in Dallas, at the 2022 Automation North American Business Partner Executive Forum on November 2 and 3rd. The gathering brought to Dallas IBM Business Partners from AIOps, DevOps, Business Automation and Integration to meet with IBM leadership, share concerns and ideas, see the latest offerings and get aligned with IBM’s Automation strategy.

Below is a short report on what went on with the slide decks from each presenter linked in the copy. Feel free to click and download to review or share with your colleagues.

Produced by the North American Ecosystem team, the event kicked off with a welcome reception at Dallas’ Whiskey Cake restaurant, with lots of mingling and cocktail sampling. If you ever visit, you’ll definitely want to save room for the whiskey cake dessert.  Here’s a one-minute photo montage of some of the assembled throng on November 2…

The next morning, the session convened at IBM’s Innovation Center in Dallas, with a keynote by Bill Lobig, Vice President of Product Management for IBM Automation.  Author and noted industry analyst, Craig Le Clair from Forrester Research followed with a look at new and emerging trends in AI and Automation.

Ray Daniel, North American Sales leader for Integration, presided over a session on Integration, Instana, and Turbonomic, which also featured IBM Business Partner DAI Solutions sharing their approach to selling application monitoring and observability.  Greg Pollack, Americas Sales Leader for Business Automation, covered the opportunities for Business Automation.

Brian Fallon, VP of Global Partner Sales for IBM Software, laid out the programs, sales plays, and resources available to Business Partners and fielded questions in a lively discussion.  After that, Spot the Robot Dog, paid a visit to the group to do some tricks and pose for selfies.

Business Partners spent the rest of the afternoon in 1x1 Executive meetings to work through pending deals, remove obstacles and discuss new opportunities. When not in meetings, they visited the Genius Bar, where IBM technical specialists shared demos of Turbonomic, Instana, Integration tools, and Business Automation.  The team is thrilled to be back with face to face meetings and vowed to start planning the next one as soon as possible!
