The product as a whole is called IBM App Connect Enterprise ... it will still be named "Enterprise" even when you change the mode of operation.
The mqsimode command can be used to select the operation mode. Most users will run advanced mode of operation and not standard. Standard will restrict you to only be allowed to create a single integration server under the integration node. You can check the mode of your previous installation to compare them. If ACE 12.0.5.0 were using advanced mode, you would want ACE 12.0.11.0 to also be set to use advanced mode. If you change the mode of the new version then there will be license implications ... the purpose of the mqsimode command is allowing the user to dictate which license edition the installation should run under.

the upgrade is pretty straightforward.
- Stop old version
- Install new version next to old version
- Change environment to new version
- Accept license
- set operation mode with mqsimode
- copy custom libraries to new versions libs directory
- start new broker
- test
- if tests are successful, delete old version.
If something goes wrong during testing, you can always switch back to the old version.
