  • 1.  MQ Client 9.2.5.0 installation issue on Windows 10 Enterprise

    I am installing MQ Client 9.2.5.0 on Windows 10 Enterprise.  I tried two ways.

    • One was through Software center, and it failed with error "Unable to make changes to your software", and detail just shows: "0x643(1603)"
    • The other way is run the setup.exe from the directory where Software center had downloaded the MQ Client (on my PC, it is C:\tmp\d). It prompted me what components I want to install, and I chose compact. And it quickly went to the error window "Installation Wizard Interrupted!".

    I have restarted my PC, and tried to install it before starting other apps, but got the same error. I am wondering where can I find more details about the reason for the failure. I searched this forum and googled and didn't get much useful information.

    Possibly a corrupt installer ? You should let your software center install it. However warn them that it needs to be installed with elevated privileges...

    Hi Xinji,

    You can find more details about the reason for the failure in your temp directory, check for log file with name like MQv90_Install*.txt and amqt*.txt.
