How to connect DataPower instance (running on OpenShift) with DPOD

    Hi everyone

I am trying to connect DataPower instance (running on OpenShift) with DPOD, I am having no luck in doing this because the DPOD am running requires hostname/Ip address, SOMA port (only digits), username, password, target IP (only digits), while the OpenShift uses host names only (I tried using the static IP address and the port it did not work).

Is there a way to add this DataPower gateway into the DPOD?

    Thank you

    Hi,

To connect a DataPower instance deployed in k8s/OCP you should utilize the DPOD Cloud Agent. The DPOD Cloud Agent component allows support for IBM DataPower Gateways deployed in Kubernetes/OpenShift, and includes the following features:

    • Automatic discovery of IBM DataPower Gateways as they are deployed, scaled up or scaled down by the DataPower k8s Operator.
    • The collected data is stored in a persistent messaging layer until it is processed by DPOD.
    • The DPOD Cloud Agent is highly available and can be scaled up or down as required.

This is documented in the DPOD docs: https://montier.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DPOD012000/pages/15912440439/Cloud+Agent+Overview
