  • 1.  How do I identify if I am using licence are using Prod terms or NonProd terms.

    Posted 25 days ago

    Hi ALl,

I wanted to checkand understand what is the difference between PROD and NonPROD Licence that we procure from IBM.

Does DataPower have any defintions that define what a PROD device should look like and what a nonPROD device look like.

When I look at a running VM, how do I tell which variation it is was built from.

    Regards
    Avinash

    Thanks Pan Chan,

Your advice was very useful for identifying the type of OVF file deployed in VM.

    Thank you Steve.

It was very useful and helpful. Further to above question. I am willing to differenciate between Production and non-Production version of DataPower devices.

    Hi Avinash,
Not sure I understand your other question, but main differences between non-production and production versions are

    1. modules and features: the non- production version has all modules and features available and enabled. For the production version you need to acquire this via additional licenses and enable them.
      see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/datapower-gateway/10.5.0?topic=overview-differences-among-datapower-products#differencesamongproducts__modules__title__1
    2. usage: the non-production version is for only test and development purposes and includes IBM Software Subscription and Support.
      see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/datapower-gateway/10.5.x?topic=virtual-offerings

    Hope this helps.
