Aspera

Hello.

I need to download some portfolio files from a former job. They use Aspera Connect. 

I went to the page to download Aspera Connect 4.2.6 for Windows (I'm running Win 10). I needed, apparently, to install an extension into my browser. I now have it in both Edge and Chrome. I'm currently using Chrome.

I went to the application in the Start Menu list, and clicked on it. Nothing. Tried this multiple times.

I went to the IBM docs, and saw all sorts of complicated mish-mash that had nothing to do with my query. I looked up YouTube videos, but saw nothing that would seem to explain how to just load the flippin' app, connect, and start downloading. 

Help? Please? Frustrated here.

Hi Keith,

Aspera Connect is more of a helper application that allows you to download and upload files via a web interface. Generally, the website you are trying to upload or download files from handles launching Aspera Connect and starts the transfer for you. Once Aspera Connect and the browser extension are installed on your computer, which you seem to have done already, you should only need to interact with the website.
