Hey! I was unable to reproduce the issue with the same OS and processor, but we are aware that a bad DB record may cause this issue.
You could try with any of these options to fix the issue:
- Delete the database (make sure any asperaconnect and asperaconnect-nmh processes are killed).
- Wipe the ~/.aspera/connect directory.
Please let us know if the issue was solved.

Subject: Aspera Connect on Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1 Crashes on Launch (Host is Empty Error)
Hello, I'm on a M1 Max Macbook Pro running Mac OS Ventura (latest version) and running the latest version of Aspera Connect (4.2.4.265). The problem is that it crashes on launch constantly without fail. Every time a website engages with the aspera plugin the app gives me the same error "HOST IS EMPTY" then crashes. I have tried uninstalling the plugin and re-installing, using 3 different browsers, checking the app's security clearances, and making sure the ports are open. Any help here with what is going on? We need aspera to do our job correctly. Thank you very much for all your assistance!!
