No it is not. Since then I've decided to go to some version of 8.6. The new question was more 8.6.0.3 or 8.6.0.4? Since 8.6.0.4 is not on the 'recommended' site I've decided to go to 8.6.0.3. Even though there are close to 40 fixes in 8.6.0.4.

Isn't this the same question that you were asking back in March?
Should I upgrade my FlashSystem 7300 from 8.5.0.10 to 8.6.0.3

I guess I'll go along with the recommendation at IBM Storage Virtualize Family of Products Upgrade Planning and go to 8.6.0.3.
I'm assuming that any flaws in 8.6.0.3 are not so drastic that one should go directly to 8.6.0.4 prior to it aging awhile.

Don't get me wrong, I plan on going to 8.6.0.something. The question is 8.6.0.3 or 8.6.0.4. And if 8.6.0.4 should I wait a little as .4 just came out this month.

It has been almost a year since version 8.6.0 was released and that fact is already enough for us to work with.
Sometimes you also want or need to use new (security) features that have been released since 8.5.0 (February 2022).
But it may also be the case that you are working with SV1 or older nodes, then you don't even have to think about whether or not you want to go to 8.6.x, as this is simply not supported.

I understand that there will always be fixes to a release. I do not let that paralyze me from ever upgrading. Nor do I fall into the camp which only upgrades a day before the version they are on becomes out of service. This being said, are the fixes addressed in 8.6.0.4 notable enough to give one pause in upgrading from 8.5.0.10 to 8.6.0.3? Should one wait until 8.6.0.4 has a month to settle and then update to that instead?
