    Hello,

    I need to upgrade Qradar siem 7.5.0 GA and I have to do manually because my Qradar doesn't come out on the Internet. Can I downloaded the updatepackage  7.5.0-QRADAR-QRSIEM-20241008193358  o Do I have before install other packages?

    Thank you in advance

    Regards

    Simona Vittori

    For upgrades you need to download the Upgrade Pack, mount it on the console and execute the installed from there; some useful resources:
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/SS42VS_7.5/pdf/b_qradar_upgrade.pdf
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/qradar-software-update-checklist-administrators
    Check the release notes for the intended Update Pack before proceeding, as there may be some additional important information; e.g. to install 7.5.0UP8 you need to be on 7.5.0UP7 (otherwise generally Update Pack are cumulative and do not have such requirements), you may need to check if there is an impact on your installed WinCollect agents, etc.

    For updates on systems that do not have direct or proxied connection to the Internet, have a look at this technote:

    Hi Dusan,

    I have Qradar 7.5.0 GA (Build 20211220195207). I can't understand if I can install the later updatepackage  7.5.0-QRADAR-QRSIEM-20241008193358

    Thank a lot

    Bye

    Simona

    Though it does not say explicitly in the Release notes for 7.5.0UP10
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/release-qradar-750-update-package-10-sfs-202161020241008193358
    I would suggest updating first to 7.5.0UP7, as that was a requirements to go to UP8
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/qsip/7.5?topic=upgrading-qradar-siem-750-up8

    The release notes and the checklist here
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/738599#tab_2
    should be helpful

    (Also, you might wish to apply the 7.5.0UP10IF01 afterwards - which is specific only for 7.5.0UP10 ; the release notes list what would be resolved by applying it
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/release-qradar-750-update-package-10-interim-fix-01-sfs-20241028190757int
    )

    Simona, regarding your other question, when you are updating the deployment, you need to update all the hosts in the deployment to the same level (the documentation clearly states "Software versions for all IBM QRadar appliances in a deployment must be the same version and fix level. Deployments that use different QRadar versions of software are not supported") . So yes, you would need to install the UP7 on the console and all EPs, then UP8 on all of them and then UP10 on all. The installation script installs the update first on the console, and then it is pushed from there to other systems (console should never be on a release below other managed hosts).

    Hello Simona,

    Here is the upgrade path you need to follow 7.5.0 GA -> 7.5.0 UP7 -> 7.5.0 UP8 -> 7.5.0 UP10.
    This is the shortest path and There is is no alternate option other than this.

    Vishal, per release notes for UP9, it should be possible to jump from 7.5.0 UP7 to UP9 as well (not just to UP)8, no? But yes, I agree - there is a mid-step to be made when going from 7.5.0 UP7 in 7.5.0 UP10.
