    If you deploy a VM in Azure with the Market image from IBM, and you backup the VM, then you cannot restore that VM anymore if you have patched it to a new version. Because of the plan information.

    IBM has replied that they don't support anything beyond snapshots. So I just want to write this as a warning to anyone using market image or planning to use it. You have to rely on ISVA snapshots as restoring VM will not work after patch.
