Docker `ibmcom/verify-access` is crashing right after the server starts on M1 MAC Processor

I am new to IBM ISAM and I need to get the docker environment running on my Apple M1 machine. I am familiar with docker but not sure how to debug the error in this container.  I have followed the docker container docs here and also tried following the github repo.

The first container "verify-access" that needs to run to generate the snapshots is throwing the following error:

    [8/30/22, 15:19:53:474 BST] 0000002e com.ibm.ws.kernel.feature.internal.FeatureManager I CWWKF0008I: Feature update completed in 60.716 seconds.
[8/30/22, 15:19:53:485 BST] 0000002e com.ibm.ws.kernel.feature.internal.FeatureManager A CWWKF0011I: The default server is ready to run a smarter planet. The default server started in 75.312 seconds.
[8/30/22, 15:19:53:526 BST] 00000048 com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.osgi.mbeans.PluginGenerator I SRVE9103I: A configuration file for a web server plugin was automatically generated for this server at /opt/IBM/wlp/usr/servers/default/logs/state/plugin-cfg.xml.
tail: inotify cannot be used, reverting to polling: Function not implemented
    [8/30/22, 15:20:32:355 BST] 0000003c com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.servlet I SRVE0242I: [xgs_50] [/core] [Login]: Initialization successful.
    [8/30/22, 15:20:37:547 BST] 0000003d SystemErr R Exception in thread "Default Executor-thread-9"

I have an older MAC that has no M1 processor and there it is working. So I am pretty sure it might be related. However the error message is not clear and I am not sure how to fix either way. I need to have it on the M1 MAC. Did anybody encounter this?

    Thank you

Unfortunately the ISVA containers is not supported when run on the M1 processor.  The M1 processor embeds an ARM chip, where-as the ISVA container only support Intel based chips.  Docker attempts to cater for this by doing emulation of an Intel chip, but this is not very reliable - which is why you are seeing the issue.
