The developers are receiving relatively low number of reports that customers failing to upload docusign documents to the website. They want to increase the default https-timeout setting on a junction from default 120 seconds to 10 minutes. This has me concerned because it could consume ephemeral ports longer and cause much bigger problems to all applications. Granted, they are talking about 50 uploads a day on the upper end which seems like it should not be much of an isssue. However, this can start a trend for other applications if there is more of this happening.
I would think it is best to upload to a system not behind the ISAM. However, they didn't and I would like to know what steps should be taken on the ISAM to account for these file uploads that could take 5 minutes to complete? What is the best recommended approach for this type of business requirement? Would it be best to upload to a system that is not protected by ISAM?
