I want to use SAML authentication where Security Verify access will act as SP. How can i add Salesforce as app to work as protected resource?

    Anant,

I don't understand this question.  If Salesforce app will be a "protected resource" that implies it will be a service provider with Verify Access as the Identity Provider... but you've also said Verify Access with be the SP.

Is your problem with trying to connect Verify Access to SalesForce? If yes, you need to follow standard process for adding a service provider:
    1) Create a federation definition in Access Manager for SAML with role of Identity Provider
    2) Export metadata from this definition and use to SAML SSO in SalesForce
    3) Export metadata from Salesforce and use it to create a partner  in Verify Access for the federation definition created in 1.
    4) Configure Reverse Proxy for the federation using the wizard under manage on Reverse Proxy page.

If the issue is something else, please provide more detail.

    Jon.

    Hi Jon

I am trying to implement below use case

Access Salesforce redirect to IBM Security Verify access , which redirect to external IDP and then IDP confirm authentication and provide response to IBM and IBM to access Salesforce.

I followed the above instructions, salesforce redirecting to IBM gateway for authentication but not to External IDP. i know it is something configuration mismatch
