  • 1.  Python3 scripts as custom action

    Hello

We want to run a custom action script which is written in python3. Unfortunately QRadar has only python2 pre-installed. Would you recommend to install python3 on QRadar (7.3.2) or would it be better to re-write the custom action script in python2? Thanks for your feedback.

    Regards
    Rouven

I would recommend that you re-write the script for Python2 as you may encounter future support issues with a modification.

    an RFE would be encouraged!

Given that python2 is being formally deprecated at the end of the year, is the answer not that IBM need to preinstall python3? And assist with installing python3 into existing QRadar instances?

Shane has followed this up in a separate post here

The aim is to roll this up with the release of 7.4 - I believe this is expected in the first few months of 2020
