How to partner with IBM Security - Technology Alliance Program 101

If you've had a customer request to integrate with an IBM Security product, or you'd like to get ahead of the market and develop an integration for prospective clients then you need the IBM Security Technology Alliance Program - it's the simple and free way to get access to IBM software, technical information, help and assistance and to submit your app for integration validation.

What is the Technology Alliance Program?

IBM Security Technology Alliance Program provides technical assistance to ISVs that wish to integrate their solution with select IBM Security products. The program provides complimentary software access and technical resources to enable technology partners to build their own integrations and have them validated by IBM for publication on the IBM Security App Exchange.

Our program is free and open to all ISVs - we have over 700 apps and integrations on the IBM Security App Exchange - and it is focussed on product interoperability and is not a resale or OEM program. The IBM Security App Exchange is community-driven integration hub providing a central location for customers to discover and download integrations and apps for various IBM Security products.

The integrations are built by IBM, technology partners and members of the App Exchange community. Technology Partner apps are validated by IBM and fully supported by the partner so customers can be assured of quality and reliability.

How do I engage with IBM Security?

We aim to be open and easy to work with, with minimal friction and maximum value for our joint customers. Contact us to setup a quick introductory call at IBMSecurityAlliances@wwpdl.vnet.ibm.com. As part of that initial conversation we'll look to learn about your product and explore ways in which it could integrate with our suite of products, it might make sense to integrate your product in multiple places to best leverage the joint solution.

What products can I integrate with?

Our alliance program covers IBM QRadar SIEM and IBM QRadar SOAR, the new Unified Analyst Experience, MaaS360, IBM Security Verify and new integration tracks are being worked on all the time so this list keeps growing.

What help will I get with my integration?

We'll give you free access to on-premises software and SDKs to help you build your integration, we have a wealth of online guides and videos explaining the process and showing best practices and examples. For each product we have a Technical Enablement Specialist to help guide you along the way and answer any technical queries you might have.

How will you validate my integrations?

Depending on the nature of your integration we'll work with you on the validation criteria, for publishing on the IBM Security App Exchange the product teams have dedicated QA resources to carry out end to end validation along with secure coding review of the integration code. Validated integrations are published on the App Exchange only when they have passed all the required validation.

Will you help me promote my integration?

Yes, our alliance marketing team will work with you on any relevant go to market activities including but not limited to Press Releases, Blog postings, Joint Solution Briefs and Webinars.
