Web-scraping and sentiment analysis for enhanced data analytics & ML modelling

 View Only
When:  Nov 9, 2022 from 08:00 AM to 09:00 AM (ET)

When the data you have is not enough to use with your ML models, extracting data from other sources such as the internet become critical to the success of your model's results. Increasingly, sentiment analysis of textual data can provide valuable insights for making effecting decisions and policies.

Please join us for this tutorial where you will have the opportunity to learn to scrape data from the web, and how to perform sentiment analysis on the extracted text. To get the most out of this tutorial, you are encouraged to follow along with the instructor, however not a requirement to benefit from the session. The tutorial will be done in a Watson Studio Jupyter Notebook, but please feel free to use the python compiler of your choice. In preparation, please have libraries beautifulsoup4 and nltk installed beforehand.
