Happy Friday!

Reminder to always keep an eye on the calendar. We have a bunch of things lined up for you next week:

  • March 24, 1–4pm CN: WiDS: Women in Data Science - Data Science in Action Beijing May
WiDS Beijing is an independent event that is organized by WiDS Ambassadors at IBM as part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference organized by Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work in the field of data science. All genders are invited to attend all WiDS Worldwide conference events.
  • March 26, 6.15–8.30pm CET: PyData Hamburg May Meetup
Join PyData Hamburg to learn about AutoML with Paco Nathan, a "player/coach" and advisor to the IBM Data Science Community with core expertise in data science, natural language, cloud computing and ~40 years tech industry experience.
  • May 27, 9.30–10.30am Pacific: DC_THURS on Data Lineage w/ Julien Le Dem (Datakin)
Online interview and live Q/A with Julien Le Dem, Co-Founder & CTO at Datakin covering his experiences as an engineer in the data world from his time as a PMC of Pig at Yahoo, through the creation of Parquet at Twitter, and finally culminating in the recent launch of the Open Lineage project while co-founder and CTO at Datakin. Julien is a true hero of the data engineering world, and his insights on the necessities of metadata oriented systems in the present data age are not to be missed! This episode of DC_THURS proudly sponsored by IBM.
  • May 27, 10am–12.05pm Eastern: Data and AI Virtual Forum: Banking, Insurance and Financial Markets
Join IBM, Forrester Research, IDC and global business leaders to learn first-hand how to successfully scale AI and tackle the challenges of growing data complexity, ensuring trust in AI outcomes and overcoming talent scarcity.
  • May 27, 12–1pm Eastern: Bayesian Inference and Probabilistic Programming: DSE Presents Chat with the Lab webinar
Bayes’ Inference is a predominant theorem utilized in Data Science, but what does it really mean to think as a Bayesian and what implications does this have for our work as data scientists? Why is it important that we understand the world of probabilistic programming and how is this different from the traditional ML approach? We are excited to tackle these questions and more while providing an introduction to the powerful tools of probabilistic programming and Bayesian inference. Another installment of Chat with the Lab with our fabulous colleagues at Data Science and AI Elite (DSE).
See you there!
