New Base Samples for IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.5

IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.5 contains the following new and updated Base Samples:

The folder structure has changed!

The base samples are now organized into three new categories:

Team content > Samples > By business function

Team content > Samples > By feature

Team content > Samples > By industry


Team content > Samples > By business function > Customer experience

Agent quarterly performance: This sample dashboard demonstrates call center agent performance data from a fictional mobile phone service provider.

 

Call center YTD performance: This sample dashboard demonstrates call center performance data from a fictional mobile phone service provider.

 

Daily agent activity: This sample report demonstrates daily call center agent activity data from a fictional mobile phone service provider.

 

Call center:This sample data module contains representative call center data from a fictional mobile phone service provider.



Team content > Samples > By industry > Financial markets

Stock market valuation: This sample dashboard demonstrates how to visualize valuations, correlations and performance of a fictional set of securities.

 

Stock market valuation explanation: This sample story demonstrates how to find the best valuation within a fictional set of securities.

 

Stock market indices: This sample data module contains fictional world and sectorial stock indices.




The following samples are not part of the Base Samples, but have been added to IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.5:

Custom Visualizations

parliamentSchematic.zip: A schematic package containing a UK Parliament House of commons SVG file. The seat keys are mapped to constituencies (the order of generation maps to the Brexit leave versus remain voting). You can download the sample from this public GitHub repository

Notebooks

Health insurance coverage analysis: This sample notebook demonstrates how to create and merge geographic data with other data, modify the presentation of the data, and create map and trend line visualizations.

 

Health insurance coverage report: This sample report demonstrates how to add notebook widgets to a report. These widgets display fictional health insurance coverage data from a notebook.

 

Schedule data creation: This sample notebook demonstrates how to create patient visits and nurse shifts data at a fictional hospital.

 

Unit infection data creation: This sample notebook demonstrates how to create a dataset and use visualization with a slider to display the rates of infection in a group of fictional hospital units over a given time period.

 

Data quality template: This notebook template can be applied to any dataset. It demonstrates how to read, overview, quality check, and clean data.

 

Telecom data analysis: This sample notebook demonstrates how to perform customer churn analysis on a sample dataset. Predictive analytics models are used to predict customer churn by evaluating their probability of risk to churn.

 

Telecom data visualizations: This sample notebook demonstrates how to explore data and create visualizations in the context of a fictional telecommunications company.
