A few months ago I was trying to figure out if AI/ML is a great career path, and it took me a while to get convinced.
Here's a list of the determining factors that helped me make a decision. Feel free to add more factors or let me know how you chose this path!
This was how I did it:
1. Identify Dissatisfaction in Current Career
Reflect on aspects of your current job that are unsatisfying, such as lack of innovation, creativity, or growth opportunities.
2. Visualize Career Trajectory Without Change
Imagine where you'll be in your career if you continue on your current path, especially if it lacks involvement in emerging technologies like AI and Machine Learning.
3. Develop a Vision of an Unfulfilling Career
Create a clear picture of a future career that you want to avoid, one that doesn't include the dynamic and evolving field of AI and Machine Learning.
4. Set a Goal to Transition into AI and ML
Challenge yourself to transition into the AI and ML field, recognizing the high demand, innovation, and growth potential in this area.
5. Plan and Eliminate Obstacles to Learning
Strategize your entry into AI and ML, identifying resources for learning and removing barriers such as time constraints or lack of guidance.
