  • 1.  How can I influence the columns in an CSV export from the search app ?

    Hi

    We are using Watson Explorer Content Analytics.

    We have a use case where we want to export search results in a CSV report.

    See this documentation:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8NLW_12.0.0/com.ibm.discovery.es.tm.doc/iiyscreportcvs.html

    The question is: how can I influence the order of the columns, the separator, the maximum number of entries to be returned (the values in the dropdown)

    This for search in an Enterprise Search Collection (not an Analytics Collection)

    We would like to avoid exporting columns like: DocumentId, DocumentTitle, DocumentDate, DocumentFlags....

    For the maximum of results for a report, there is NO option in the customizer app similar the option we have in de customizer app voor Analytics.

    I mean there is no tab to configure reports behaviour, but our version has the fix that you can no longer manually override the value at runtime (in the dialogbox)

    I have found a way to allow for more than 500 results in the report dialog:

    report.cognos.maxNumberCandidates=10,25,50,100,250,500,1000,10000,300000 in config.properties /home/esadmin/esdata/master_config/searchserver/repo/search/default

    I took this from the config.properties of the analytics app

    One down, two to go....

    Michel, I have looked into the reports capabilities and I see no way of changing the parameters you list above. There is a separate export capability, that basically allows you to export the results list as a csv. You have more flexibility with this feature:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8NLW_12.0.0/com.ibm.discovery.es.tm.doc/iiyscexport.html

    For example, you can choose the fields you want exported to csv. Have you looked at this as a possible alternative?

    I misunderstood this feature, I was under the assumption that the reports would be stored on the server. But after a try, it appears you get a download link. Thanks !
