  • 1.  TS7700 Encryption

    Hello,
    Customer wants to activate encryption on the internal disks on existing TS7760 with LIC 5.2.
    Machine was purchased without any encryption features (beside the one which allows encryption on attached physical tape drives in TS4500).
    I found in some documents inconsistency information,

    some saying new encryption features can be order to be install in the field,
    some saying it is not possible.

    Please help clarify which is the correct one.
    And if it is possible to order new encryption features please explain how i can use econfig to order them.

    Hi Arye, yes The TS7760 can have encryption added to it after the initial install.  For the TS7770 encryption can not be added after installation.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
