  • 1.  Move data

    Hi Community,

I want to migrate from LTO4 to LTO9, so I've chosen to move the data as the migration scenario, but I'm having the following problem:

TSM indicates that a Libvolume is inaccessible, there are times when the dependency increases to 3, I've so insert the three data cartridge (for example) to make the move data from a libvolume!

My question is as follows: Is there a method that I can use to list all the dependencies between the data-cartridge/libvolumes so that I can prepare/insert them once in the Robot to make the data move?

    Best regards.

    Hi,

If you're using move data instead of move nodata, it's hard to determine dependent volumes. I suggest increasing the mountwait parameter of the LTO4 device class and monitor the activity log or define an alert trigger for mount requests to receive an email when a new cartridge is required.
