SLES.
If we have to take the LPARs down then that's fine.

8.2 does not support the non-disruptive volume migration method :/
what is the operation system on the hosts?

V9Ks are on 8.2.1.6 which is the highest available for the 9848-AE2s.

I prefer to use "non-disruptive volume migration" instead.
what is the codelevel of your v9k?

Subject: Migration from V9000 to FlashSystem
Hello,
My customer is looking to migrate frem V9000 to an FS system.
Obviously V9K has SVC so the most obvious way to migrate seems to be:
- Ensure FS is set to Storage layer
- Zone FS to V9K
- Volume copy existing volumes from V9K to FS
- Remove FS zoning from from V9K
- Zone and map hosts to FS
I've had issues in the past where IBM wouldn't support certain SVC configs or features as it's a V9000 and not just an SVC with Flash storage. So, is this a supported approach for V9000?
I recall using the migratetoimage command when V7000 first came out when migrating a customer from SVC to V7000. Any thoughts on this approach?
