I would like to implement a hyperswap configuration with 2  flashsystem 5300 i/o group  with direct attach inter-room between canisters.

Does I need 4 FC port per canister for the inter-room connexions like this picture below or 2 FC ports per canister are sufficient?

In this way you have double-doble redundancy and double bandwidth. Basing on your data rate even 2 could be adequate.

Yes, that is correct. There are such installations with other Flashsystems. And remember you need also a Quorum on a 3rd place connected to both sites.

Thanks Bernd, I know for the quorum, I will setup the IP java application in a third room.

Yes, that is correct. There are such installations with other Flashsystems. And remember you need also a Quorum on a 3rd place connected to both sites.

If your boxes is 5300, do you consider to use pbha instead of hyperswap?

Hello Mr. Nezih Boyacioglu, can FS 5300 support hyperswap setting?. I have 2 fs Firmware version 8.7.0 deploying hyperswap but setup can't find enclosure number 2 to add to cluster. Thanks and looking forward to your feedback.
