    SAP IQ Server database data can be protected using many different ways.
     Spictera SPFS can be used to protect the system databases, as well as the IQ Server data.
    Spictera Snapshot can be used to protect the IQ data (the user data in the IQ Server)

    How does it work?

    Just mount the Spictera SPFS on the PATH or DRIVELETTER where you want the data to land from the Progress backup utility.
    # mount -t spfs /backup

    If you want a faster backup or shorter restore time, than Spictera Snapshot can be a good option
    Spictera Snapshot takes database snapshot of your SAP IQ data of the IQ Server, stored on the IBM Spectrum Protect server, with a nearly instant restore to almost any place.
