There are many tools on the market available to protect PostgreSQL database data.
Spictera makes it possible for you to select the tool of your preference, storing the backup data on the IBM Spectrum Protect server.
    Spictera SPFS

The solution is agentless, and So Easy to Use.
Just mount the IBM Spectrum Protect storage on the path (or drive letter) where you want:
    # mount -t spfs /backup

This makes it also possible to protect your transactional WAL-log data immediately when it is created.

Another option is to use Spictera Snapshot solution, which takes application consistent copies of the PostgreSQL data, storing on the IBM Spectrum Protect server, with a possibility to restore the database data nearly instantly
