  • 1.  How to increase a child pool?

    Release: 8.5.0.10
    MTM: 4657-924
    I have a storage pool approaching threshold.
    Is it really just a simple matter of right clicking on SGC_Pool, selecting Modify Capacity and upping the Child Pool Capacity from 19TB?
    I checked the number of Safe Guarded copies and they seem to be maintaining the right number of copies.
    We've been skirting the edge for quite some time now and I don't think it's any particular spike.

    Hi Robert

    Yes, it's that simple. You can also increse the warning threshold from 80% (default) to 85 or 90.

    Thank you.  I'll probably just up the threshold to 85%.  We'll be adding another lpar to the sgc and I'll up the capacity at that time (and drop the threshold).
