    Hello All,

    For Data Server connections, has anyone had the problem of the meta data not finishing its load? In our situation, we added an additional table to our schema (we only use 6 small tables total) and attempted to reload the meta data and after a few minutes it got stuck in the "loading" status. it's been that way for a few weeks and we can't figure out how to clear it. We hit cancel, restarted services and rebooted the server and each time we return to the settings screen and the status is still set to "loading".  Other schemas within the same data server don't have any issues as well as existing reports using the "frozen" schema still function. We just can't make any modifications. We're just curious if anyone else has seen this behavior and found a way around it. Thanks

    Yes, I am facing the same issue in CA 11.1.3 on Cloud. Additionally, there is no way to know what's percentage completed and where it's stuck.  While creating queries (Table using SQL), I am getting errors. Not sure what Cognos Analytics version you have.

    Try to clear metadata using right click option and select other schema to load data for limited tables. See if that clears the state on problematic schema under data server.

    We're on 11.0.13 on premise and it's very annoying. We like data servers, but we have been forced back to Framework Manager until we can figure this out.

    ​This thread addressed a similar issue. Apparently Data Servers default to loading 1,000 rows of data from every table for the AI engine to learn from.
    You can turn off all the load options as mentioned, and that should speed up the process.
    I'm not answering the first question in this thread because that was about the process itself persisting through restarts, so.....

    Same here with 11.0.13, 11.1.4+5.

    Perception: does not work reliable.

    Our db2  database schema has around 1.500 tables.

    Sometimes works, sometimes not.

    We have not investigated into detail yet.
