In this video, Kush Varshney, IBM Distinguished Research Scientist and Senior Manager, IBM Research, explains what is AI Governance and why is it important, he then explores the different levels of risk between Large Language Models (LLMs) and traditional machine learning, and the final point he covers the challenges in being able to provide safety guarantees with generative AI.

Kush provides a short and concise overview of the complexities involved in AI Governance, in particular with the rise of generative AI. Check out the video below:

Thank you for this straight forward, concise and clear explanation on generative AI Governance.

I agree generative AI Governance is critical and necessary.

As a complement to this discussion, I agree with Tom Gruber that we need to include the Human factor into the algorithms, so we can protect us from Toxicity, Harmful behaviors and bullying. Here is a Tom Gruber's TED presentation on which he introduces the idea of Humanistic AI that augments and collaborates with us instead of competing with or replacing us. https://tomgruber.org/presentations/humanistic-ai-ted2017

    Best regards,
