Hi, (sorry if this question was raised up before - I coudn't find it.)

Is there any solution (e.g. registry hack) to disable the annoying operation which shows navigation pane for Ctrl+Home?
I hate navigation panel and turn it off all the time but I regularly use (I would use) Ctrl + Home shortcut to jump to the beginning of my syntax - as it's absolutely the standard in all text editor in the world - but in SPSS this shortcut turns on the navigation pane, sets the focus to this and I cannot use Ctr + R for running my syntax for example.

I don't understand how it is came to mind to anyone to use a well-known shortcut (which is in our fingers) for another function and moreover it cannot be disable?

Thanks a lot for any solution.

    UPDATE: I'm using SPSS 25

Your post is puzzling.  ctrl+HOME goes to the top of the syntax window.  It has no effect on the Navigation pane whether it is shown or not.  If you look at Edit > Syntax Keyboard Shortcuts, it is documented that way.  Furthermore, ctrl+R does run the selected syntax.  I use ctrl+A ctrl+R frequently to run the syntax in the SE window.

I am using V29, and I no longer have access to older versions, so it is possible that it used to work differently.

p.s. I find the Navigation Pane very handy for moving around the syntax window, but you can make it so narrow that it shouldn't bother you even if it is turned on.
