  • 1.  GLM and ZPRED ZRESID for testing normality

    Hi Guru's,

I recently updated my SPSS to version 29 (for Mac), and the options I had previously to do a GLM, then select predicted residuals under the save tab, etc., seem to have changed or gone. I have attached a screenshot of the options now available.

My GLM models are all fine; it's the step of saving residuals to test in Explore that seems to be a problem for me.

Can anyone help me out? I am tearing my hair out, trying to work it out!

    Cheers!

That image looks like it comes from Analyze > Generalized Linear Models, and those choices look like they always have.  Maybe you were using Analyze > Univariate or Regression where the display of choices looks different.

    Thank you Jon.

I definitely should have said Generalised linear model and not GLM, apologies for that.

I have also had the issue resolved by just using the residuals under save and running explore with normality plots. I was clearly having a brain melt yesterday and mixing up where I had selected ZPRED/ZRESID previously.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!
