Hello, I formatted a Power 9 server with 7.4 IBM and nvm disks with mirror, I lost the mirror, but I can't find the instructions on how to recreate it, can you help me?

Hello, thank you for responding, apparently IBM i only allows a traditional mirror by doing an asp and creating the mirror, and for it to be at the card level with NVM, it is necessary to create it using vios or another tool or at least that's how I saw it had it before format it, greetings.

    Dear Miguel

    >>>> and for it to be at the card level with NVM, it is necessary to create it using vios <<<<

Each unit of NVM device comes with its own "card" and there is no need to use VIOS to do disk mirroring between two NVM units in IBM i.    You use IBM i DST/SST menu to :

First you select one NVM device and create namespaces for this unit : https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.4?topic=nvme-create-nvm-namespaces

Then, you select another NMV device and create namespaces to match the first NVM device :  https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.4?topic=nvme-create-nvm-namespaces-match-another-nvm-device

Then you start disk mirroring (which is now called RAID 10 device parity protection) between the 2 sets of namespaces.    This is how you do disk mirroring between the two NMV devices in IBM i - the card level that you mentioned.

STRSST -->  Work with disk units -->  Work with disk configuration --> Work with NVM Devices

Work with Disk Configuration -->  Work with device parity protection

Thank you, it makes it clearer to me what I should do.

Certainly! To recreate a mirror for NVM disks on your Power9 server running IBM i 7.4, access the HMC, navigate to disk management, select NVM disks, configure the mirror, initiate the build, and monitor progress.
