Informix v14.10.FC3 & client csdk versions

  • 1.  Informix v14.10.FC3 & client csdk versions

    A while back I upgraded  one of our development servers to IDS 12.10.FC7. on AIX 7 OS.  The bundle  I downloaded from PAA site included the client sdk/esql   and after the 12.10.FC7 install &  upgrade the csdk version showed :
    IBM Informix CSDK Version 4.10, IBM Informix-ESQL Version 4.10.FC7

    Later  was an upgrade to  14.10.FC3 which no longer includes  csdk/esql    bundled .  The latest  client csdk  (or esql) I can find out on PAA is 4.10.FC6 so I am curious as to why no 4.10.FC7  ? 

    I  opened a ticket with PAA on the recommendation from TS  and they said no such version exists for AIX.

    The latest I have in a prod server is 4.50.FC2, but I do have 4.50.FC3

    Thanks ... how were you able to download  4.50 ?   out on PAA no such versions exist.  The latest is 4.10.FC6

     

    I am  trying to keep in step with the following recommendation since we install our tools in the same directory as the engine:

    The CSDK released with 14.10 is v4.50. The latest is 4.50.FC2 (there was no CSDK update with v14.10.FC3).

    See Eric's post. CSDK is free (always has been really) so IBM considers it a "Trial Download" so not in PAA. Go to the link Eric sent.

    You only have to pay for CSDK support, which is optional, not for the product itself.
