    Daniel:

I do not think my last reply was posted but if it was please forgive this repetition.

I was told in the last IDS webinar I attended that INFORMIXHQ was no longer available as a standalone download as it been previously.  It is only available as part of the IDS 14.10 installation package.

InformixHQ is a fully supported "feature" of Informix. It is packaged with Informix 14.10.FC1 and Informix 12.10.xC13.

    Pradeep:

Thank you for the update on the status of InformixHQ.  I was not aware that it had been added to the most recent release of IDS 12 (12.10.xC13). That's very good to know.

Also, you can download jar files from maven:

    https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.informix.hq

BTW, Hope IBM/HCL do not remove this files from maven after this post ;-)

The jar files available on maven central are very old (> 15 months) - I'd describe that version as a "pre-alpha"! InformixHQ is a fast evolving product. What we have today with Informix 14.10.xC2 is vastly improved over the version on maven central.
If you just want InformixHQ, you can download Informix 14.10.xC2 Developer Edition from IBM Trials and Downloads or "pull" the docker image from docker hub. You can copy the two jar files and deploy them as appropriate. Check out the "Informix Channel" on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtp2l98gWjv_6QmCa92tQYQ
The "Getting started with InformixHQ" video will help you to set up InformixHQ quickly.

    Pradeep,
    does this:
"You can copy the two jar files and deploy them as appropriate."
mean one can distribute HQ at will? Is there any licence for HQ?
    Thank you

Distribute at will? Absolutely not if it will violate the terms and conditions(T&C) of the IBM Software License Agreement (SLA)! All users must to adhere to the T&C of the SLA.
InformixHQ is part of the product - similar to dbaccess, onclean, ifxdeploy, etc. InformixHQ should be treated as just another utility that is included in the product distribution. We don't have separate license files for each utility.
My comment - "deploy as appropriate" - is meant for various DevOps/automation process. If there are specific needs or pain points around the deployment and usage of InformixHQ, let us know. We are open to new ideas.

Thank you, I just wanted clarification - I know that it is part of the product but someone can misunderstand your suggestion.

    Hi,
Good to know that InformixHQ does not need a license, but that kind of information should be in the IBM product documentation, so
I tried to find documentation regarding the license for InformixHQ but could not find anything.
Do you possibly have an Informixhq license document that you can refer to?

    Hi,

I would like to know: is it allowed to run Informix HQ on a separate server without an extra license? As you know, you need to install the Informix software on the HQ server in order to run it.
Say, you installed Informix instance on the production environment, but want the Informix HQ processes to run on a separate server and leave the repository database in the productive instance. Is that possible without any extras?

Not only possibly (without cost or license requirements), but even recommended, for the HQ server.
This way you could use one HQ server for monitoring multiple IDS instances on different hosts.
The HQ agent better should be running locally, one for each instance and on the instance's host.
