We are just getting started with z/os connect and every swagger file we've received for our POC's (from various application groups), are "openapi": "3.0.1".  How are folks handling this with the current z/os connect version, since it only supports 2.0 swagger files?  Are you all using a conversion utility?

Also is there any plans to support openapi 3.0 in the current z/os connect product, or do we have to wait until open api 3.0 provides that support?

    Thank you

IBM released zOS Conenct OpenAPI3, which supports OpenAPI3 in April this year

zOS Connect OpenAPI 2 KC is here

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos-connect/zosconnect/3.0?topic=welcome

zOS Connect OpenAPI3 KC is here

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos-connect/zos-connect/3.0

Customers need zOS Connect unlimited license to use OpenAPI3

Currrntly OpenAPI3 only supports inbound API requests to CICS and Db2

IBM released a statement of direction with the following:

IBM intends that a future release of z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition will provide support to enable IBM Z applications to call OpenAPI 3 APIs.

In the meantime, some customers are converting OAS3 documents into OAS2 documents using any of the various converters available. There are new features in OAS3 that aren't available in OAS2, but many APIs don't use them so the conversion is valid.
