  • 1.  When will Cognos 12.0.4 transition to paid support?

    Hello,

    I've asked IBM Support this question too and looked as best I could at the Life Cycle pages. 

    Has IBM said yet when Cognos 12.0.4 will transition to paid support? We are trying to plan out when to turn to the upgrade to 12.1 and would prefer to wait if the date is far enough out. Would we likely have a year's notice of this when the decision is made (if it hasn't been)?

    The Cognos Ask-me-anything session on 29th July might be an opportunity to find a first-hand answer to that question. Actually I'm pretty sure they answered exactly that question last time, but I simply can't recall the details.

    Hi Michael,

    Cognos Analytics v11.1 was EOS (End of Support) in April 2024.

    Cognos Analytics v11.2 will be EOS in April 2026.

    So my best guess for v12.0 is April 2028.

    Nothing official in my answer, but it should be close to the truth.
