Do you use Cognos Audit Extension? If yes, would you share your experience with this part of the product! Anything related to troubleshooting would be fine.

BTW, it is strange to have a file called c10AuditExtensionNOTES.odt (created in 2010, and updated in 2011) in cognos_directory\samples\AuditExtension\docs

I did install it as it looked like it would give us more information than the standard Audit reports and some degree of access into the Content Store that we currently have to guess at tables/joins/fields etc to get meaningful information out.

Tables were created and seemed to work Ok. BUT...being a non-US customer it seems the underlying tables and processes are built for US dates, so it worked OK for the first 12 days of the month and threw errors from then onwards.

As there is no support for it and I'm not allowed database access to verify anything, it was dropped.

did you have a look at IBM Cognos Analytics License Tracker (ICALT)? 

You find the documentation and package at https://ibm.box.com/v/ICALT-Public-Information. ICALT is mainly to track the authorized user licenses but have also administrative reports.

If you want to do a test just send an email so I can create a test-key for you.

Hi Michael,

Audit Extension is free of charge (shipped with the product), it seems that IBM Cognos Analytics License Tracker (ICALT) needs a license to be run in "full" mode.

Audit Extension is not supported. ICALT is not supported neither.

Our customers are looking for supported features, specially from IBM. My 2 cents.

although this is an "as-is" sample, I'd expect that IBM Spport should field your call as long as it falls under this "as-is" category.
See blue bar in the mauals, e.g. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cognos-analytics/12.1.0?topic=samples-cognos-analytics-base.

However still kind of vage: "You can use these samples as-is (supported by IBM), or you can modify/extend these samples to suit your business needs (not supported). ", so understand your intension to log the idea.
