  • 1.  LTO9 IBMi 7.4

    Hello, we have IBMi 7.4-N LIC with 3313740 cum PTFs, it recognizes the EJ2B card, but it does not create the resource for an LTO9, the cable does turn on the connection LED on the drive, both the drive and the library have the latest level of firmware. What could we be missing?

    Dear Miguel

    You should go to this web site: IBM System Storage Interoperation Center (SSIC) at https://www-50.ibm.com/systems/support/storage/ssic/interoperability and enter relevant info about HW+SW involved to check if your specific LTO-9 tape library is supported or not.    By the way, make sure you also have the latest level of your server's firmware.

    If you server is a Power10 one, you can find a list of supported LTO tape devices for Ej2b here: IBM i Removable Media: Power10 tape and optical at  https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-removable-media-power10-tape-and-optical
