Sometimes, a configuration error or missing setup might prevent the item from being recognized correctly as a direct issue.

Hi Andrew, thank you for that.
However, I tried it again, and no PRs were generated.
Version below:
Maximo Manage 9.1.197 Build 20250612-1037 DB Build V9100-01

Hi Tom/Craig,
I did a test on MAS 9.1.4 and it worked. At first I thought it hadn't because when I checked the PRs filtering in the description with the word reorder I looked at the last two records, one PR created at the date/time of the reorder did not contain the item. I quickly came to the conclusion it wasn't working, but then I checked the work order and the PR field was filled. Back on the PR application I performed the same filter and found the PR with the direct issue item, except it was nowhere near the other PR record that was part of the same reorder routine. I then noticed in OOTB Maximo both PR and PO applications have no ordering, PRs created as part of the same reorder routine might not be next to each other in the List tab.
Anyway - works on MAS 9.1.4.
Regards - Andrew

Hi Tom,
Ahh, now that you mentioned MAS 9, I tested this using MAS 9.1 and yup got the same answer, that is the direct issue appears in the preview using the "Reorder Direct Issue Itms/Svcs" menu option, but does not generate a PR. Also, it does not appear in the Reorder Report.
Now it feels like there is a bug. A rather important bug. Please lodge a case with IBM.

Thanks, Craig, I have tried out the options that you mentioned above but to no avail.
Not too sure whether there is a bug in MAS 9; perhaps the direct issue might only work via the reorder cron?

Hi Tom
It should work, but some clarification. You mentioned 'Reorder direct issue items and services'. That function is only available from the "Reorder Items" menu option.

Did you select that option? Rather than using the "Reorder Direct Issue Itms/Svcs" menu option?

It should not matter. Did you use the Preview button or ran in background?

How do you know that it did not work?
When you look back at detail on that material/item on the WP Material tab, is anything in the PR field.

I have no direct answer/solution is the direct issue did not get picked up. Perhaps running in Preview mode may help; otherwise, you have to get a look at the logs.

Hi guys,
I have marked an item as direct issue on WO planned materials tab, and added in a vendor, unit cost got populated from the last receipt cost. I saved the WO, and approved it, the status changed to WMATL as expected. However, when I run 'Reorder direct issue items and services' in Inventory, my item is not being picked up.
Any clues as to what I might be missing?
Thanks in advance.
