Hello, all,

I am a university faculty and trying to get the CPLEX Academic Edition. After spending several days, I am still struggling to find the clue. I have read all instructions and following them to the same dead-end. Every time, only the free community edition is downloaded.

I provided the new IBM SkillBuild Technology Access my school email and logged in with my IBM ID. I managed to find the software download page, but there is nothing about the academic license. 

After having studied all information, the possibility is that my account' academic status is not verified. However, I have been using the same account for years and had successfully downloaded older edition before. When I tried to check my current status, the account profile is empty and has no information at all.

There are so many posts addressed the same issue. But none of them have a clear answer how to solve this problem. I am wondering if anyone from IBM can really looking into it and provide a final solution?

Go to the page https://academic.ibm.com/a2mt/email-auth#/,
Type in your email. If you are not registered yet you will have to provide some information to register the program.
Otherwise login and do the following steps:

1. Got to Data Science
2. The CPLEX Optimization Studio box appears, click on it
3. A pop-up windows appears, click on "Download"
4. In section "Find by part number" choose "HTTP" and not "Download Director"
5. The search result should show
       IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio V22.2 Multiplatform Multilingual eAssembly  
    Unfold this item
6. Tick the box of the port you need to download
7. At the bottom of the page, check "I agree"
8. Click on "Download now".
9. The download should start. 

I tried your steps and could not finish it as instructed. I downloaded the package before with the "Download Director", but what I got was the community free version.

This time, I followed your instruction but problem happened at step 5. The default download method is "Download Director". However, I cannot switch it to HTTP by just select this option. It still try to download with Download Director. So I switch it to HTTP first, and then press "Search". I did get the new image after the search. However, the "I Agree" button did not show up as the Download Director option after I selected the image to download.

I am able to access the versions, but as you observed, these are CE versions. 
We are looking at it and I will inform you when the problem will be fixed. I will update the procedure as well.

On which steps do you fail ?

Hi, Mikael, please see my reply to PhR's post above. I could download with the Download Director, but what downloaded is the community version. I could not download it throw HTTP as the "I Agree" button never appears.

(Allow IBM to open xdg-open).

May you search by image ?

If you search by "IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio V22.1.2 Multiplatform Multilingual eAssembly", you should have 2 assemblies. On the right tab, you may choose image.

Also, I advised you to install  OpenWebStart to be able to execute  *.jnlp file.
