    Hi all, 
    currently working on a research project that involves implementing branch and price. I would like to know if it is possible to access Cplex(Academic Initiative version) from Visual Studio using C#(Concert) without the limitation of the number of variables (1000).

    Hi,

    The limitation of the number of variables in Cplex is independent of the programming language API.

    So, it should be OK if you use the C# API.

    Yes, it is possible to access IBM CPLEX, including the Academic Initiative version, from Visual Studio using C# with the Concert API. The Academic Initiative version typically has limitations on the number of variables and constraints that can be solved, but those limitations can be removed or extended in the full commercial version of CPLEX.

    AFAIK there is no variables or constraints or techniques limitations in the CPLEX Academic license.


    My be I'm outdated, but for sure before Version  21, I don't remember any limitation.
