Hi Team,

Our data lineage tool doesn't have the capability to look into datastage job assets in CP4D and report lineage mappings between source and target. Do we have any inbuilt functionality in CP4D or any custom script which can do this for us ?

Hello Tapas..  CPD and IBM Knowledge Catalog with the IBMManta Add-on can do exectly what youa re asking for.  FOr any Data Stage NectGen (as well as DataStage Classic, Informtica, and Talend - plus many opther technoligies) - you are able to AUTOIMATICALLY generate detailed source to target lineage down to the column level....    Since IBM aquired Manta last October, I see this capability getting further integrated and expanded in the near future.  We'd be glad to show you this capability.

Thanks Mark . I need to know if my client who is onboarded on CPD 4.8 has opted for Manta from IBM. Is there a quick way to check this ?

Did they onboard CPD Software?  RIght now we don't have embedded lineage on IKC SaaS - that is due later this year. 

Ideally you would have sold them the Manta Automated Lineage add on (and of cource sized the environment for that as well).  THAT is what enables the automated lineage capabilities.

Yes they have already onboarded CPD software and I am trying to figure out custom solutions which can provide custom lineage.
