  • 1.  When trying to install DS client the following error occurs: Microsoft Script Engine must be working correctly

    Hi Team:

    When trying to install DataStage client v11.7.1 on Windows Server 2012 R2 on Citrix, the following error occurs: Microsoft Script Engine must be working correctly.
    We tried, disabling Firewall and didn't solve the issue. We also validated cscript supported (Windows Script 5.7 for windows XP). Any thoughts!!!

    Hi:

    Customer ran the Hello.js script on the citrix session and didn't work as expected, It prompts a window that says " How do you want to open this type of file (.js)? and suggests Microsoft Windows Based Script Hosts and Microsoft  Visual Studio 2010".

    It seems like Windows Script Host is not working properly, but I don't know what else I can do. Any Ideas???

    I also confirmed that all updates are applied.
