Rajesh Bordawekar is a Principal Research Staff Member at the IBM T. J. WatsonResearch Center. His current interest is applying AI techniques to datamanagement workloads and the associated software-hardware co-design. For the past few years, he has been working on an AI-Powered Database,a novel relational database system that enables AI capabilities in databasesusing self-supervised vector embedding techniques.
He has also been exploring general purpose applications of GPUs foraccelerating key kernels in machine learning, datamanagement, and deep learning workloads. He has presented a tutorial on "Analyzing Analytics" at multiple computer science conferences. A book based on this tutorial was published by Morgan and Claypool Publishers in the Synthesis Lecture series on Computer Architecture in November 2015.
Rajesh is an ACM Distinguished Scientist,haspublished over 40 technical publications and has been issued 50 patents.
