End of Support for IDAA Plugins within Data Studio

  • 1.  End of Support for IDAA Plugins within Data Studio

    Hello,

    I was asked by our management about the support dates for Data Studio, specifically the IDAA Plugins.  We are looking to purchase Db2 Admin Foundation, but need answers to some questions in time for our next meeting.  Those questions are:

    • Has IBM announced end of support for Data Studio? 
    • Has IBM announced when Data Studio will no longer be supported in regard to administration of IDAA V7?
    • Do we know if Data Studio supports Integrated Sync?  
    I cannot find these answers definitively anywhere within IBM.  Can someone point me to the right location where I could find these answers?

    Hello George,
    as far as I know IBM has not yet announced the end of support for Data Studio.
    Regarding the support of In-Sync on IDAA, I can answer you that it is supported by data studio.

    Hi George,
    Moving forward to Db2 Admin Foundation is the right choice.
    - Data Studio is a deprecated product. However from IDAA perspective, we still provide IDAA-Plugin support when there is a new release of IDAA
    - We did not announce when Data Studio will no longer be supported in regard to administration of IDAA V7. However, we encourage you to start using Db2 Admin Foundation
    - Data Studio supports Integrated Sync Administration.
